"Be Love ... and then let love pursue you."
And...
"We pursue that which retreats from us." - Tao of Steve (Heidegger)
This was anonymously posted by ME on 3/17/05 in the comments of my post on 10/20/2004, and I just read it for the first time tonight.
Sometimes you hear something like that at a time when you really need to hear it.
The past few months have been a blur, and I feel like a blind man walking through a blizzard.

Once things seemed so clear, and now it's all fuzzy. No matter how strong you may be, there is always something or someone that can take you down. No matter how confident you think you've become, life always finds a way to bring out your insecurities, your fears, and open those old wounds anew.
"Be love... and then let love pursue you." Beautiful. But is it really so simple? And how does one BE love? Sometimes it seems that the more I love, the more elusive love is.
No. That's not true. It's not that love is elusive. Love is solidly there. In full bloom. But maybe it's not the bloom I was expecting. I was anticipating red roses, and I found daisies. Still beautiful. I was dreaming of passion, and I found a great friendship.
It's passion that remains elusive.

You are my heart.
